15 Minutes from Limerick city
You'll find Beechfield House in the quaint village of Castleconnell in a beautiful location about 10 kms north east of Limerick City. The popular holiday resort is well known for the game fishing offered by the river Shannon and offers shops, pubs and restaurants.
The area around Lough Derg north of Castleconnell is one of the hidden treasures of Ireland where visitors still find the peace and tranquility for which the emerald isle is famous. Rolling hills, green fields, unspoilt lakes and streams, forests and bogs offer a serene but never boring scenery - and it is central and not far away from all the major sights in the midwest of Ireland, including Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Bunratty Folkpark. 
Killaloe on Lough Derg as well as the city of Limerick are each just 15 Minutes away. And the M7 brings you in less than 2 hours to Dublin.
The Shannon and Lough Derg area do not only offer superb angling and all kinds of watersport activities but you'll also find a variety of short and long walking & cycling tracks as well as a number of important historic remainders worth visiting.
